I built this jAlbum skin in order to quickly generate my photo albums using the Galleriffic jQuery plugin. This skin, however, does not align perfectly to jAlbum. Like the well known BananAlbum skin, Galleriffic does not use separate pages for thumbnails and slides. The entire album is encapsulated in a single html page, where the Galleriffic jQuery plugin takes over to generate the thumbnails, controls, and slideshow features.
When using this skin, there are two main concerns to be aware of:
- Rows & Columns - This skin ignores the values used in the Rows and Columns configuration inputs, and instead uses the new FileIterator script tag provided by jAlbum. jAlbum still will only make the number of photos equal to the product of the Rows and Columns values (Rows * Columns) available to the page. So it is best to leave the defaults for these inputs (1 row, 1200 columns), or if your album has more than 1200 photos, then you will need to increase the columns value. You may configure the number of thumbnails to show at a time on the custom Galleriffic configuration tab. The layout of the thumbnails is driven purely by CSS, by default floating each thumbnail left.
- CSS Customizations - Modifications to the layout of the thumbnails and any other element of the album must be done in the stylesheet. This requires some knowledge of CSS; however, also provides the most flexible possible way to customize the album to match your site.
