Our smiley baby is loads of fun, she is growing up so fast! Almost crawling, up on all fours but so far only going backwards, which she finds frustrating when her toys get further away. She can go across a room backwards though! She loves her jumperoo and standing and dancing. She is very, very active! Her latest newfound talent is giving kisses – big, wet, open-mouthed kisses. She is very generous with kisses for mommy and can be coaxed into one or two for daddy. To check out her poses from the past few months, click here.

… and Harper’s first photos go live! Well, we have been a little busy but its really no excuse. She has been so active on Facebook you would think she could have updated our blog too. Our fault, we forgot to give her the admin password. She is on top of it now!
Our little girl has been well-traveled thus far in utero. Starting with a Guatemalan adventure in July, she then accompanied her mother to Canada in August. But what she really wanted was a European escape before she dealt with the harsh realities of breathing through her own lungs and being forced to digest her own food. So we took advantage of her portability at this stage and headed off to Italy and France at the end of October. And now the trip photos are ready for viewing! Experience Italy and France, as well as some special abstract French impressions captured by Trent, through our eyes.

We are nearing Harper’s arrival with each day, and she continues to grow strong and healthy. Our 22 week check up today revealed a strong heartbeat and everything measuring just the right size. We don’t have any more pictures of Harper to share at this point, but people keep asking me when I’m going to post pictures of my baby bump. I’ve always found this practice to be a little strange – I wouldn’t post pictures of my midsection pre-preggers so why would I want to post the even larger edition now? – but it does seem to be a common practice amongst the expectant. So here is the first reveal of my burgeoning belly – please excuse the hair, it was windy that day.
